Metal clay is fine particles of 99.9% fine silver,
which when combined with an organic binder and water
can be manipulated like clay. When fired in a kiln or with
a torch the binder is burned away leaving the
metal in solid form. It can be sculpted, cast and
textured to create beautiful fine jewelry.
This is the perfect medium for the novice
and professional alike.

Journaling Bonanza

In this fast paced workshop, we will hand bind funky journals with pages made out of various papers and sizes. Then we will explore collage & drawing with a slew of products including prismacolor colored pencils (my newest passion!), gel pens, paint pens, paint dabbers, distress stains, crayons, pan pastels, stencils and japanese tape. It's going to be a blast as we fill our journals with color, imagery and lettering.

materials list:

a variety of papers to use as pages (can be scrapbooking papers, random pieces of paper from other projects, wrapping papers, cardboard ads, pages from on old children's book or other book...anything that seems sturdy enough for a page). bring all sizes.

scissors
prismacolor pencils (whatever you have)
whatever gel pens, sharpie poster paint pens, copic markers, tombow markers you have.
paint dabbers and distress stains by Ranger (whatever you have)
stencils, stamp pads, stipple brushes for stamp pads (whatever you have)
tape (paper tape, scotch tape, masking tape) -whatever you have.

1 magazine, 1 thrift store book to cut up (something with cool images in it)
